Celestial is a Technology Partner of IBM Pervasive Computing Group for the J2ME solutions offerings from IBM, available worldwide under the Websphere Workplace Client Technology (WCT) solutions.

Celestial offers the following products and services under this Business Unit:

1.       License the J9 JVM software to customers worldwide, alongwith the WSDD set of development tools.

2.       Porting J9 VM on custom platforms, with emphasis on embedded Linux solutions. 

3.       Porting different configurations and profiles required for specific customer applications.  Celestial has experience with CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0 implementations, as well as CDC, Foundation, RMI, and Personal Basis Profile implementations, on embedded Linux platforms.

4.       Implementing IBM’s custom VM environment for more efficient implementation of Java.

5.       Porting new JSRs for specific customer requirements, including certification.

6.       Optimising Java applications to run more efficiently on the J9 VM environment.

7.       Porting existing Java applications to the J9 VM environment

8.       Complete TCK certifications for all J9 implementations, including obtaining the Java certified logo from IBM
